1st Training for Trainers of International Network University for Molecular Allergology & Immunology

1st Training for Trainers of International Network University for Molecular Allergology & Immunology had been held at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria from December 3-5, 2013.

The aim of the course was to train researchers and clinical scientists from the field of immunology and allergy regarding recent developments in molecular allergology. The idea is to train “Trainers” i.e., future opinion leaders from these countries which are hungry to join the European Immunological Societies so that the knowledge can be spread in the respective countries. It is the vision of INUNIMAI (International Network University for Molecular Allergology & Immunology to strengthen research in immunology and allergy.

The target audience of first course were 31 participants from 9 countries, such Austria, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Greece, and Romania, who had been trained by members of the Austrian Society for Allergology and Immunology.

The training course had been structured by following sections: basic knowledge of molecular allergology, new approach to diagnostic, treatment, and prevention of allergy.

There were 16 scientific lectures, interactive seminars, as well as a practical training in molecular allergy diagnosis with case-report presentations.

During the practical training serums of 40 allergic patients had been investigated and interpreted by participants under the auspice of tutors.

Within the course Prof. Hannes Stockinger gave Welcome address, as well as the overview of EFIS activity and focus for future collaboration with CIS countries.
